Skillitz a.k.a. Skillz is a beloved son of the Greensboro, NC hip hop movement with a vast following that ranges from your run of the mill hip hop lover to fellow artists in the N.C. circuit. He follows a legacy set by an MC's code to strive for excellence in battling, freestyling, impromptu performances and an astounding catalog of musical works. Skillitz started out just writing rhymes in class in high School and exchanging verses with Munchini (then known as JB da Risin' Sun) at the lunch table. It was then that Munchini had asked him to be a part of the "Hedswelluz" which consisted of FGD, Vic Freeze, and Munchini himself. Eventually they would connect with "Mad Tacticz" which was another group consisting of C-Rok a.k.a. Mr.Re-up, P.A.K, and Papa Sufi to form "The Seven Seaz". After recording several albums together such as "The Genesis"and "The Perfect Number" as well as various mixtapes such as "Flash Flood Warning," the Seaz went on to perform at shows such as "Cinco de Mayo" and their biggest venue to date (a 5,000 seat arena), the first annual "Throwback Classic" featuring the world famous Doug E Fresh, Dana Dane, Nucleus, and Whodini and hosted by Amos Quick formerly of 102 Jamz, the main radio station in the Triad area of NC. Skillitz is noted for his extraordinary wordplay and pure lyricism in addition to his uncanny wit, hooks, and content. He is also a notable figure that set a precedence with his single "Peeplez", which aired on 102.1 Jamz on August 7, 2001. Shortly after the members of Seven Seaz decided to work on their individual goals and projects while still remaining close friends, Skillitz continued making music. He has collaborated with group labels such as HazMat Entertainment, Gwap Squad, and numerous other artists while still being a loyal delegate/artist for Seven Seaz and now Clever Elements. After taking a short break, Skillitz decided to go back in the lab and work on his highly anticipated solo effort (not yet titled) to be released in late 2010. Skillitz devotes a great deal of time to his craft, his musical ventures, and his commitments to family, friends, and fans; he welcomes all that are willing to come along on his voyage......Real hip hop by a real M.C.! WELCOME!!!
